Session Information

What to Expect
I have a full portable studio lighting set available for those windy, rainy, and snowy Algoma days! On days that are sunny, your session may be shot using available natural light in your home, outside, or in a location of your choice.

Scheduling the Session
Please schedule your session at a time that is best for your baby or child. A sitting typically lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Please take into consideration your child's feeding time and nap time before deciding on the session time. Please do not take it personally if as the parent you are asked to step out of the room during the session. It is amazing how well the child performs when Mommy isn't watching! Because of distractions, it is recommended that only those who are to be photographed be present during your child's session. Please have extra clothing on hand for your child in case of an accident.

Clothing to Wear
Simple clothing works best for all types of portraits. Please try to stay away from busy patterns, or clothing that your child may feel uncomfortable in. Solid colors are recommended, although fun colors and patterns can add wonderful personality. Comfort is the most important factor with children, especially infants and toddlers. Our recommendation for Family portraits is black tops (or all white tops) and jean bottoms. This creates a clean, elegant look that can be both contemporary and classic.

Senior Portraits
You can bring as many clothing changes as you like. Don’t forget to bring accessories...shoes, boots, heels, jewelry, sunglasses, hats, scarf’s, etc. Dressy clothes, funky clothes, suit and tie, and Prom clothes are all great.

I provide posing guidance but lets treat this as a model shoot and practice some poses in a mirror before your session. Get ideas you like from fashion magazines and you can bring those ideas along. Let’s have fun and get some good photos that will last a lifetime.

Our Policy
Before any sessions begin, two forms must be completed by the parent/guardian. 1) The model release allows for the use of the photos in advertising, portfolio work, etc. 2) The portrait agreement states all of the policies enforced by Blue Daisy Photography. Please take a moment and read these carefully prior to signing them.

Online Proofing
Your portraits will be available to proof online within 2 weeks of your session and will only be available for viewing and ordering for 10 business days. Your proofs will be password protected for privacy of the clients. If you are unable to view proofs online, an appointment will be scheduled and to view the proofs on a CD at the studio.

Your Prints
Your prints are guaranteed to be available for pickup within 3 weeks of your order date and payment. I will call you when your prints are ready, and you will be able to come and pick them up at the studio or have them shipped to your home address.

Sales & Payment
Due to the custom nature of my work, all sales are final, and refunds are unavailable. Checks, money orders or cash are accepted as forms of payment. There is a $25 fee for checks that are returned unpaid. Full payment is due at time of order.
